Mission Statement
Austin's First Steps High Risk Follow-up Clinic aims to provide quality, family centered care to our patients. We are committed to the goal of providing care consistent with the best clinical practices and supportive of each child's medical home. We serve as advocates for children who either have or may be at risk for developing special health care needs through education and collaboration with other members of the community.

Austin's First Steps High Risk Follow-up Clinic is a group of neonatologists, pediatricians and advanced practice nurses who have specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of children with neurological or developmental disorders.

We treat infants and children from birth to 6 years:

with possible developmental challenges, such as those babies born prematurely or those who have required support in the neonatal intensive care unit.
with motor, language, cognitive or other developmental delays.
with neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy, stroke or traumatic brain injury.
with sensory losses such as hearing or visual impairment.
